The coin is nice in hand.

Estimates on value (not just the Red Book ) but what would you all pay in a real world situation. BTW- This is not a veiled effort to try to sell the coin.

Nice coin & I'm cheap so don't take this the wrong way. Common date and from the photos doesn't appear to be MS. That means value is pretty much based on spot price.

Not getting much of a feel from these pics. Cannot believe that the surfaces could be as pristine as they appear.

My apologies ladies and gents. Yes, the pics look flat, dead, and lifeless. The coin is not, or at least in my opinion.

I should have mentioned in my OP that the coin is in an Air-Tite capsule and the pics were take on the fly because I was excited.

As you can see from other recent posts my photography is a bit better. And I make a point of not manipulating photos either with software or photo enhancement programs.

Just me an my iPhone 6s.

In addition, I am in complete agreement with the comments in regards to the photos.

My guess on grade is 55-58. Check ebay sold values for an idea on value.

Too much glare on the photo surfaces to grade.

Bottom line: gold coins do not look like this in their natural state.

The darker area in the field in front of the portrait looks like wear so AU-58 would be the highest technical grade. Photos give the coin a "processed" look, with zero visible luster. I'd assume surfaces are not natural and the coin would be valued mostly on gold content. I'd value it around $350 but it could bid up higher based on how attractive it might appear to a novice collector.

You all are 110% correct. It's a combo of the capsule, lighting, camera, my lack of skill, etc. Coin almost looks like a cardboard cut-out, so lifeless and lame.

At least the last one I posted, awhile back, was just a "tad" better. Taking photos of gold coins are my Achilles heel.
