Byzantine Empire.

I know that doesn't exactly narrow it down to a KM#, much less a specific century, but the symbiology (for lack of a better word) is stereotypical Byzantinean.

It does have some Byzantine design characteristics, although the letters in the inscriptions are definitely not right. I think more likely it is Cilician Armenia. Compare, for example, this Kardez from Levon III:

The coin is from Cilician Armenia and is Hetoum II.
