Hello everyone. I've been wanting a Caracalla Denarius for awhile, but haven't been able to snag one due to my frugality (cheapness).

I may be able to get this one, but I just wanted to get some thoughts on it. My first thoughts are that it looks OK and I haven't seen it on the fake coin reports.

But the Flat fields an no flow lines has me wondering. Sorry for the low quality pics it's all I have.

Thanks

Only $1.49 if you buy in bulk. I'm embarrassed that I even thought for second it was authentic. But my gut instincts are getting better!

Caracalla denarii are plentiful and cheap, even in high grades. This is what an authentic one should look like, and it shouldn't cost you more than $40-50

While these are sharper than what would come later, Severan era denarii are generally soft and usually have flow lines and/or areas of weakness on the legend.

Looks to be die struck.
I rather like the radial mint luster on the OP's coin.
