1987-D Lincoln Penny Thoughts Is Error?

Good beautiful morning everyone. I have two. First. Ok this is 1987 D penny. What caught my attention is the mintmark don't look right. Like it's either lower than normal or smaller. Input and options are greatly appreciated.

@TS12, with hand-punched mintmarks, there was definitely some variation in their location. I think that this one was in the "good-enough" region.

also depending on how deep the mint mark punch is applied and how accurate the punching is, the mint mark can be larger or smaller and vary in location.

Here is one that is enlarged from the punching, but not a RPM. The reverse is a DDR:

You have a normal average circulated 1982 D LMC. It's a spender.
