I would say AU details but the obverse looks hairlined.

it looks like its definately been harshly cleaned and even the reverse shows signs of a cleaning with the dark splotches all over it but I have to agree that it looks like it has AU details

Agreed, strong AU details. Look at how sharp LIBERTY is; sometimes the letters are weak even on uncirculated coins. The eagle feathers are very sharp and some original mint frost appears to be present in the recesses.
The spotty toning on the reverse looks OK, but the blue blotches don't look natural. Unfortunately, some doofus scrubbed the obverse pretty aggressively. The market value I expect has dropped to that of an EF coin, if not lower.

AU and harshly cleaned. Take a close look at that (S) it might be doubled.

My thoughts exactly. I've had several 20 centers and this one has the sharpest Liberty and the feathers are full detailed..check out that neck! But like you all observed someone has cleaned it...and it's a shame because it has proof-like surfaces (the blue is the reflection of my light). I showed it to some of the members in the Coin club I belong to and they mentioned that the S wasn't doubled which is supposedly harder to find...similar to 1865 3 Cent Nickels without clash marks on the obverse and reverse. Not sure how true that is but that was the consensus... I thought it was worth owning for $160. It has some nice eye appeal and character in hand that is hard to bring out in photos.

I am a bit torn on this one since the eagle seems so much sharper than lady liberty. And when you factor in the cleaning it seems that she should be around an EF.

It took this coin to my Local Coin Club and put it into the Auction at the end of the meeting. My $220 reserve was met, so nice little $60 profit in a week's time. I am satisfied with that result and the buyer was happy.

You got EF money for it, that sounds like a fair deal for both parties
