Came in today. Not much to look at, but the coin actually looks better in hand. I was pleasantly surprised. Theodora, AE 15mm. FL MAX THEO-DORAE AVG, mantled bust right / PIETAS-ROMANA, Pietas standing facing, head right, holding infant to breast. No mintmark, but, it seems this type was minted in Trier.
So that concludes my first set of (affordable) Constantinian Dynasty coins. I will post the family pic when I get a chance.

Very nice! I'll be interested to see the whole family tree of coins.

Nicely done! I'll second that I want to see that group shot!
Any plans on adding Hanniballianus to the collection after this?

Even in bronze, some of these ladies are pretty hard to catch. Despite many years of searching, I have failed to find a nice Theodora. Congratulations, you have come to a happy end to your quest.

Thanks everyone. Quote: Any plans on adding Hanniballianus to the collection after this? Well, I looked at the prices again and they are still out of my range. I'm hoping one day I'll get one of the "unknown" or "you ID" finds. Now I have to decide whether or not to break my favorite Constantine and Constantine II out of their NGC slabs. I know that would bring the value down a bit. I have doubles that are not in slabs, but not as highly graded. Undecided

Theodora is hard to find in great shape. Thirty years ago I was pleased to get this one with the cross: 14 mm. 1.96 grams. RIC Trier 43. Struck 337-340, but Callu thought it dated to 335

A nice coin with a full name. You don't always find that on this small bronzes.

Augustus, that is a coin very nice coin! Theodora can be quite an expensive lady in that grade. I was patient and got this one for a really good deal - but I did wait a good 2 years to find one with decent detail and withing\ my price range.
