Perhaps Caracalla for the second, VOTA SVSCEPTA X reverse.

Last one, maybe: http://www.coinproject.com/coin_det...hp?coin=3155

I recommend using the "research sold items" function at cNGCoins.com for values, although vcoins is good for this too.

The Licinius and Constantius bronzes are worth maybe $5-10 each; the Caracalla denarius maybe $8-12, and tough call on the Faustina denarius; they don't sell well in that grade. Maybe $6-8 on a good day?

The VOTA SVSCEPTA is very interesting - SUSCEPTA means 'accepted' and 'VOTA' is a vow to a god, like a votive offering. Here, Caracalla has accepted to do something for a god if he reigns for another 10 years. In 10 years, one would expect a 'VOTA SOLVTA'- Vow fulfilled! Caracalla has such an issue for another vow which shows a bull about to be slaughtered - this must have been what he promised the god. I'd push the valuation up to $15, even given the condition.

Anyone else thinking that that the Caracalla could be a Limes denarius?

Your friend will only feel like many of us who thought they had found an ancient treasure. But many do have value and some day he will land a big one - provided this sparked their interest in ancient coin collecting.
