@mshay844, could be a stye.

I've tried to enlarge and enhance one of your pics and it looks like damage to me. I think I can see where metal has been "smushed" up surrounding the round impression just below the eye.

Probably right. OP - is there a depression in the middle of that swelling?

There in a pretty big hole there if thats what you are referring to in the middle of the swelling. It's very smooth also with smooth edges as well. That's what made me think was not damage possibly.

Possible ball point pen damage on that area? (see if it the same size as a ball point pen tip?) If so then it is that. If smaller, something else was used. I can not think of a single thing that would make this happen during the striking process. PSD.
