When they were first found they were selling then in the $1000 range. So best to wait to buy something new I guess. The first time I saw a die clashed shield cent, it sold for $85 dollars. I bid what I thought was crazy for it, but it went for many times higher than my bid. So best to be patient. But the best example you can find, but not the most expensive. (Buy the earliest die state example you can find) They always look even nicer than the VLDS examples.

Hi,
Thanks again to everyone for all your help. I have decided to send it in to be graded and slabbed, that way I can make sure it is protected and I will decide what to do with it later. I really need to get a book on all these errors, I see so many posts, like yesterday regarding a 1983 LMC but I had no idea what was special about it, I still don't even know all the "codes" yet for the coins but I am learning. I ordered a 2020 Red Book and someone mentioned a Cherry Picker book so I may try that as well, hopefully that will help. Thanks again everyone, have a great week.

You will find more specif information here on the search. I have those books, but the are more of a general information fact check. But the live sites have more information on individual attributed dies. And you have us here for quick questions.
