I found this CRH, its weight is 5.82g...less than most silver planchets I think, its here next to a 1964 quarter...maybe a diff planchet? heavier than reg State Quarters coming in at btw 5.6-5.7g...

It was probably most likely struck on heavier stock accidentally.

I don't think it's what you're thinking it is, but there could be a very slim chance of course. What does the obverse and reverse look like? Another thing I noticed is the reeding on the edge is missing.

Pics of the front and back would help. Also, which coin in the pic is the 2005? I don't see a copper stripe on either, so I'm interested. However, many State Quarters were plated by third party companies. So, pics of both sides and edge of the 2005 and weight in one post...

I agree most likely plated in the aftermarket, but will be interested to see some pictures of the front and back of the coin.

The 1964 is on the left on the image right. Try a tissue test and that will tell if it is silver or not.

The plated examples form HSN are not silver plated, but platinum. If you make a scratch in the reed are you will see the copper under the plating:

The extra weight is from the plating.
