Just read this article.

https://www.coinworld.com/news/pape...lighted.html

"The news was hidden in a 1,165-page congressional spending law"

And here they are trying to hide the news of it.

According to the article the land will be near DC but not in it.

So will we have a new initials like FW for fort worth on bills from now on.

"Costs of production are also considerably higher in Washington. In 2016, $1 and $20 notes cost 23 percent and 7 percent more, respectively, to produce in Washington than in Fort Worth. "

If it costs the same to print dollar bills why is it more in DC than fort worth aside from the obvious of politicians are getting "contributions".

"Overall, the move is supposed save $579 million through fiscal year 2028"

That is only a savings of $57,900,000 a year for the next ten years.

"and another $22 million in the following three years"

And this is only $7,333,333.33 a year after that.

This does not seem worth it to me.

After all this illegitimate "administration" since feburary 2018 has peed away $2,000,000,000,000 or 2 trillion dollars in the tax cuts so the $579 million is not really savings at all.

This is not new. The "FW" initials have been used since the early 90's .

I don't think so.

According to the article, it won't be 3rd production facility but will replace the current WDC production facility (and I expect it will probably be years before that happens). Since current WDC notes don't have any kind of initials designation on them, I don't see any reason to add them once the new facility starts production.
