Are these ridges on the surface of the coin I previously posted fingerprints or not ? (See picture). I am new to this coin hobby and it is possible that it could really be fingerprints, however I felt that they are as a result of the zinc and copper mix reacting with the environment in some unique manner.
Please share your opinion on this matter.
Thanks

Not fingerprints. More of a plating issue. Not a premium for the coin. 2001-2003 cent?

Why did I guess those years? Those years have a larger font on the devices. I knew it was zinc also. So that was what I guessed it as. Now on the reverse over the 'FG' area, that looks like fingerprints.

This is a close up by the Fg. Does it still look like finger prints ? Check it out
Because of the planchet pattern along with the variable toning it looks like a finger print from a distance. The picture shows the pattern on the metal. It means that this coin is unique once the pattern is proved not to be made by finger prints.

No it is just the same issue as on the front. When the images are too small I see how that is what you thought it was. But note, it flows across the coin. Fingerprints are usually more curved and don't usually flow across the whole coin:

Thanks, but I was told that it looked like finger prints so I started this conversation to prove otherwise. Thanks for your generous contribution coop.
