I picked up this 1924p DDR a couple of weekends ago. Easy enough to spot that someone else was bidding pretty heavily also.
I thought it would be easy to attribute since there are so few for 1924. Unfortunately not many markers and CC doesn't list the one at VV as a cross reference. Both sites also have different die states for their examples.
(I posted at LCF and the consensus was that they are one and the same.)

Probably a late MDS example with die pitting, I believe, on the reverse.

Thanks for looking and any insight you can offer.

Very nice DDR! For the grade, in my opinion, it's in AU condition, because of slight circulation wear on some spots.

Au is what I was thinking because of the wear but MS is what I was hoping!

Great RPM. could you get a closer shot of the VDB? It looks like there might be dots on it? (V.D.B.)

Thanks for taking a look Coop.
Here are some images of VDB and you're right about the dots on mine, even though they are distorted somewhat from Die Deterioration. When I looked at PCGS for comparison, most images the dots were not apparent. I had to look up HA auctions to see a decent example showing the dots.

ps. There is also some strong MD horizontally through the center of the coin (LIBERTY, bow tie, date) that was not visible in the regular images. Had to tip the coin to get the MD to show up.

(Had me doing a double take though about an RPM.)

Still checking, but 1934 cents so far is the last V.D.B. is the last year showing the dots.

Always something new. These will appear better on the earlier die states. Because die polishings will reduce the raised devices on the die quicker. But because they are present, doesn't make it an EDS die example. Why? Because the die clashes don't affect the incuse areas of the die. But because I mentioned this fact, the incuse devices on the coins are from raised devices on the die, but because of its location on the edge of the shoulder, they are protected a bit more than the incuse ATB reverse quarter devices. But these are also set inwards a bit on these as well.
