Need Help Identifying A Coin (Id: Indian Service Medal)

There are coins dated 1895 to 1901 with this portrait. It is not a UK coin. I do not recognize the script on the obverse.Maybe a colony. Report this Post to the Staff

The cross I recognise from another medal and the portrait, as Peter has said, is generic. It does look as if there is a non Roman script around the bust of Victoria. Persian perhaps? I agree it looks like Victoria on the obverse. The reverse is a version of the Victorian Cross with infinity symbols spaced throughout. I've done some looking but can't find this particular medal. All I remember is that it is a service medal from one of the European powers which had a presence in India or the Indies, hence the Arabic/ Persian script. Late 19th or early 20th century.
