See the 2014 FUN Heritage Sale - Lot 5346. Comparing this piece to the Heritage piece we see the same die break below R in Liberty. Coin has the same dull yellow/gray cast appearance for a MATTE surface with the same Matte finish breaks particularly along the rim areas. XRF analysis confirmed no coating creating this yellowish gray color but a 90% Ag/10% Cu alloy. Will be submitting it to NGC as I understand PCGS does not certify these types whether 1921/1922 High or Low Reliefs and/or Matte or No Matte types. We shall see? Appears to me as a Matte finish. Could not locate images of the sandblast types. Probability low but after 5 days of looking it over its worth the NGC submittal. Pictures are the best I can take with I Phone and the low Kb pic requirements of this website forum. If you contact me personally I can send from my desktop. Probably a forgery but if so a real good doctored Peace dollar. Diameter = 38.11 mm and Weight = 26.6 grams.

Afraid these soft images don't really show us much.

Its going to NGC in a week. But I will be honest never seen this type of Peace dollar at a lot viewing but I am out of excuses on that its a post mint fabrication. Maybe its some type of annealing error or something along those lines ... Zn and Sn were not present in the XRF scans. What was also weird just like the Heritage plate coin there is a die break just above the head area below R in LIBERTY ... the exact size and positioning. Along the outside rim areas also same type of wear or loss of Matte? as in the Heritage plate coin - but this is subjective as a post mint coating would also wear in a similar manner. I understand coin is needed IN HAND. JPL

I'm sure we'd all like to see sharp straight-on images.
