Looking at 1961D for RPM, which might be there, but I noticed something south-east... is it possible this green carbon is inside another mint mark? I will check in the morning with coin microscope and post better pics if this pic isn't detailed enough.

Possible perhaps, but highly unlikely. A better (less blurry) pic would help to confirm, but it doesn't look the same size as the mintmark so would most likely be just a vaguely D-shaped corrosion spot.

That's not a mintmark. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD).
