My wife is a cashier and brought this home earlier. Any info would be great as far as condition and history. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.

Looks VF and quite natural, probably put back into circulation not that long ago. Great find!

Since you're a newb, I wouldn't recommend you do this.

It's a nice coin! My first thought is that this coin would clean up really nicely. Again, I'm not recommending "you" do this. I (and I know others here) would be giving this coin a nice acetone bath and Verdi-care to slowly remove the verdigris and stop the corrosion.

Yeah. Good catch. I dunno. They have a mintage of like 28 million. Value of I guess somewhere between $10-$20.
It's spent some time in a PVC coin flip and has the copper greening on it. I wouldn't suggest cleaning it unless you know what you are doing and practice on some cents worth a cent before trying to work on that.

Should be conserved really that green eats up the surface over time, but if you clean it wrong it will become worthles's except as your own personal hole filler.

Still a really nice find. You don't come across them every day or every year roll hunting that's for sure.
