I have a collection of graded Confederate paper money and I was wondering how you guys check the information/values of obsolete or Confederate notes. Is there a specific reference book (I saw some recommendations for Fricke's book) but I want a reference beyond the ebay or auction sold listings if possible.
With coins it seems to be much simpler as NGC and PCGS have their price guides and previous sales category.

Both Fricke and Criswell have books/guides for CSA Currency.

Link to PMG's article about what should be in your numismatic library.

Thanks, I was just hesitant about shelling out $40 for Fricke's newest edition

A $40 book may save you $400 or more.
