I always thought that an AU coin should have some lustre. The field on the obverse of this coin is 100% marked-up, not even close to an AU. Missing the pearls to the left of the centre jewel, which is also worn, used to be the line between VF-EF. Grade creep, caused by US grading companies, is real. Report this Post to the Staff

PCGS and NGC are more reliable in MS62+ grade, below that, better stay away. People need to remember, BUY THE COIN not the holder! :) Thanks for the exemple! Report this Post to the Staff
