Hi guys, I dont collect American coins, but have this one in my collection and recently notice the Error with "In God We Trust"
What the opinion on the forum, is it a specific error, is it worth keeping or selling..... Thanks in Advance.

I dont think the coin has ever been in Circulation for a vending machine damage to have happened

DDD=die deterioration doubling. Could your coin be a slight MAD=misaligned die?

Would DDD be that localized? Perhaps grease effects?

I think this is all a wee bit too techinal for my humble self guy, I think I'll just put it onto ebay and see what happens. Thanks for your help.

Probably a bag mark damage to the coin. Back then they put the coins in Bags and they would bang against each other when they are being moved/dropped. (The bags are heavy $50 in cents, two bricks of coins today)
