sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 04/24/2019 09:06 am If 'the experts' can call a light garnet paper scouring a "tooling", then so be it. I would prefer to call it PMD. Makes little difference to the value in this case, because of the heavy wear. I would't have given it a "G details" grade. If I was a TPG'er, I would have sent it back to the submitter, without charging a fee. Perhaps a hand written note: "not graded". Nearly 3 million 1925 Florins were struck. (combined total from Melbourne and Sydney Mints). That's a lot, when the total Australian population at that time was only around 6 million. Contained only .0354 ounces ASW (9%) less than a Half dollar. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Coin pictured is a Florin (Two Shillings) - not a shilling. ryurazu Pillar of the Community Australia 1333 Posts	Posted 04/25/2019 02:40 am bleh don't understand why they would call it tooling as I don't this that a schilling is worth more than a florin ;) More than like some sort of PMD and not something that should be classified as tooling as it doesn't meaning someone was trying to add value so times they may have just want to deface it no idea on there true intentions.
