I found this I've read allot of different thoughts from others on a post from someone else.. Mine is smooth and kinda light idk was just looking for some suggestions n thoughts I guess.. Thanks y'all

If it sticks to a magnet, then it is probably plated.
If it doesn't stick to magnet either the copper plating was plated over with zinc or the planchet was unplated. If the surface is rough, it was plated over with zinc. If you see imperfections on the surface, then it was plated with copper, and someone replated it zinc. (Youtube has all kinds of videos on how to do this) If it is an altered coin, it a spender.
If the surface is gray and smooth, then it might be an unplated zinc planchet. What should it look like?
