This 1974-D is in AU to MS condition with some MD in LIBERTY and the 4 and D. Also MD on Abe's nose.

Almost a push doubling coin. Why not? The devices are not pushed out of the normal outside devices border.

Just a curious question here.
Is this type error, not collectible because many examples exist of the same date same error, or that it is so common that it can happen on any date any time.
If it happens to be the ONLY example of this date and error, wouldn't it at least be 2X2 material ?

Good question Panther. I will await the experts answer. Due to the condition of the coin I will put it in a 2x2.

Push doubling and MD are in the same category basically. I have a few with push doubling and kept only the severe ones. I don't believe they are worth much more than face value. The only reason I've kept them is for educational purposes. And, they are kinda cool to look at.

Just machine damaged after the strike. From a normal die, no premium.
