This UNC 1948-S LWC appears to be an RPM but have not been able to match it up on VV. Both top and bottom serifs in the mint mark are split.

Definitely seeing notching at the serifs. There are a few on coppercoins.com that could be a match.

It is a RPM, but not listed that I've found yet.

Wexler has one that the die scratches match the 19 on the date area:
1948-S 1¢ WRPM-017
Description: S/S West

Very limited images though. But you might check to see if the die scratches is a match or not?

Quite a strong RPM not to be listed somewhere, but I'm pretty much thinking that Coop found it with that WRPM-017.

If the die scratches are a match, I would like images of your coin on the same areas (even wider) to use as a topic for conversation on die scratches. I see a point to show on this die subject that proves a point.
(Consider the die scratches in the areas of the date and Liberty, especially inside the device areas)

When taking images of a coin, if you take a shot across the die scratches, it makes them stand out more. Let me put it in clock terms. The images take on the one that shows the die scratches is having the light at: 3:00. The image above that one was taken at 9:00. Note how the scratches are a noticed more when taking images across the die scratches. The lighting amount was best on #4 and #7. Not too strong a light. in fact you can't tell the light direction at all. So it much have had the light above and diffused on those two images. They were perfect for color. The best setup.
