Looks like the die was wiped down with a cloth. It partly filled the center of the devices, but left the tops of the devices without the grease. Thus the uneven fill made some strange looking devices.

Interesting I have never heard that term "Push Doubling" I am still pretty new though and there is definitely more to it then one might realize at first
