A Couple Jefferson Nickels... What Are They?

happycoinage New Member United States 11 Posts	Posted 04/25/2019 9:18 pm Hi guys! I found these two Jefferson nickels in circulation and they jumped out at me for being in great shape, for their age. They look even better in person than in the photos. My question for you all is... are these proofs or regular issues, and how would I best tell, for reference in the future? Thanks for any help! happycoinage New Member United States 11 Posts	Posted 04/26/2019 11:28 pm Thanks for the reply's everyone! I do have other proofs so I know what typical proofs look like. These are circulated coins so they would be considered impaired proofs if they are. When I showed them to some dealers at a show they thought they were circulated proofs. But everyone on here thinks they are business strike. I wish there was a more definitive way to know! The lustre is not translating to these photos. They may just be business strikes indeed though. Oh and @GrapeCollects that was just the way I took the photo, it is not actual off kilter in real life when I flip the coin over. Report this Post to the Staff
