Good morning everyone I was just wondering if there were different stages of the 1955 DDO that are recognized. Here are a few images of mine and I thank you in advance for having me look...

What attribution number is yours? It looks like the poor mans doubled die,not a true DDO.

The Poor mans DDO is not even a DDO. It's just Die Deterioration Doubling from a worn die issue, from striking a ton of planchets at the U.S. Mint. It's not worth anything, because it's pretty common to see this. http://www.error-ref.com/die-deteri...on-doubling/

Dies wear out. A doubled die I created before the first coin is struck. Even doubled dies wear out. So your coin is not a doubled die. It is a VLDS die. (Very-Late-Die-State) about the last 25% of the coins of each die examples create coins like this. So they are common.

I guess I stated it wrong. It meant to be a question for my coin if it was or not. So that's a true poor man's '55. I appreciate it guys. It does resemble more of a smear like look...
