It happens when the collar (the part that makes the reeding on the edge of the coin) malfunctions and is not in the correct position when the coin is struck. This leaves reeding only on part of the edge. Worth a couple of bucks probably, but not enough for early retirement Report this Post to the Staff

Leaving fingerprints behind is permanent, and will not come off the coin. If it's in MS BU condition, then the value has already went down. Errers and Varietys.
