I see it is the copper small date, but they are quite common.

See the striation lines on the edges of the devices. That is showing us that the metal was pushed with the edge of the dies metal. Si it is not a doubled die. If you had included images of the date, it would also show the same thing. So if the date and mintmark is affected, it is 99% chance of being being Machine Doubling. Because until 1990, the dies were prepared first, then the mint mark was added. If you see the same affect on both, it is Machine Doubling.

and in the 3rd picture one can see a small amount of plate shifting on top of mint mark.

Hmm, the entire post was changed after I posted. It was about being excited to find a small date copper 1982!
