What would you grade this? These are the sellers pics, I will update once I get the coin. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I would say F-15 as well, but VF-20 would not surprise me these days.

hmmm...a '71-CC? A coin like that should be in a TPG holder. It looks authentic but don't be surprised when you see it in-hand. The pics are too good to be true.

Looks F-15 to me Quote: The pics are too good to be true. What do you mean by that?

The coin came in today, what are your thoughts now and was it a deal at $450 or did I lose?

F-12. Possibly cleaned, but I don't think it will knock it down to a details grade. Is something going on on the reverse at 4 o'clock at the shield (a bump or something)?

F12. I agree with old cleaning but probably market acceptable

Jimbucks, I saw that in the pics as well but it is not visible in hand. It is just a little discoloration or something and not noticeable.

F-15 with an older cleaning. Sellers photos did not show that.

I would be a bit more generous on grade. I have an 1877-CC half with very similar wear overall; PCGS gave mine a VF-25 which I think would be appropriate for this piece. I'm also not seeing any severe cleaning. A straight grade seems very possible and this coin is well worth a submission.

When comparing the OP's coin with this 1871 CC in my collection (grade NGC F12), I conclude the OP's coin is very similar overall, maybe a touch better. Fine 12 or Fine 15 seems about right to me.

I'm at F15 on it, which TPG are you using?

Clearly cleaned and, to me, less attractive than in the original pics.
