Just wondering what type of albums do you Canadian coin collectors use. I'm looking for something Dansco-like to keep my coins as nice as I can (more specifically, looking for albums for small cents and nickels).

Whitman Classic album #9151 for the small Cents from 1920.

2x2's in a 3-ring binder for my raw KM circulation set.

I like the old Library of coins albums the best. I also have a few Whitman folders/albums at home and would be happy to check if you like.

For me, it depends on the value of the coin. Low value coins go into jars or small boxes. Coins having some value go into tubes. The next level is 2x2's. And I like this the best because my collection is constantly changing, and I regularly like to check items either with a loupe or a microscope. Coins in an album are difficult to remove, replace, view or re-arrange. That said, my best pieces go into an Eagle album using Eagle holders.

I use Gardmaster as well price is reasonable nice layout. What I don't like is the choice they make for the pages. They include most major varieties but exclude others. Some are not correct 25 cent 2002 for example has a 2nd jubilee spot, the only second Jubilee I can find is the colourised version , but they don't include any other's. If any one knows why let me know.

I use the Dansco Canadian Type Set Albums (it takes two!), but unfortunately they are out of print

Usually 2x2's for 50-cent pieces and over, and for all foreign coins.

Blue Whitman coin folders for U.S. coins for the current Presidential coins (all circulation grade coins to begin with, anyway).

Ditto for Canadian coins, except it's the blue plastic folders made by UniSave.

And the brown Lighthouse folder with the slide out plastic pockets for the State Quarters.

Proof sets stay in their mint folders, as is.

Oh, and one other thing.

I *never* use the plastic coin pages for the 2x2's -- I find there is no "give" to the pockets (not all 2x2's are 2x2!), and over time, these "hard" pages dry out or something and tend to get fragile and easily torn.

Instead, I use Ultra-Pro's pages for slides, available at most photo supply stores -- around $8 for 15 in a pack.

2x2's slide in perfectly and if you put them in the "wider" way, they sit nicely in the pockets.
