I expect to see a lot of new coins at the Nov. show here--but fewer buyers.
I only cherrypick a few coins per show, so I won't be changing much.

I would think and buy accordingly that coins of silver and gold at close to bullion will definitely go up. Gold and silver are bench marks to the US $ , When the bail out and the election is over, reality will take hold and the price of gold and oil will go up because of it's relation to the US$. You can't print that much cash and not diminish the value of the unit.

Hi, if you plan to use coin collecting as an investment instead of the crazy up and down stock market, then stick to KEY dates and buy the highest grades that you can afford. A Victorian quarter, 1891, AU-50 with a C.C.N. trend value of $1,500.00 Can.$ will certainly gain in value versus a VG-8. This being the # of known and available AU-50 are far less than the VG-8's, therefore commanding a higher premium.
Plus you can enjoy your coins a lot more than you would an R.R.S.P.

Well, like the Prime Minister said, there are opportunities during the current economic crisis.

My hobby budget will stay the same, but hopefully I'll be able to get a bigger bang for my buck.
