Here is my attempt at cropping:

Some aspects of this cent just don't look right - the crease at 12-2 on obverse for example. Are these coins available from Chinese providers?

I hope that it IS the real deal. Keep us up to date on what you find out.

It has zinc rot at 1 on the obverse field. Plus it looks like one of the earliest zinc strikes

Is that zinc rot or just dirt?...send it in...but re-weigh again...it's a big difference between a zincoln and a copper. Good luck.

I didn't say it before, but to me, it does have more the appearance of a copper-plated zinc cent than a 95% copper cent.

I agree on the simple ring test. If it rings like copper then you can work through the counterfeit possibilities.

Why do you say it's counterfeit? What convinced you that it is?
