Nickel is the right spelling.
Full steps are tough. I check to find examples on the PCGS and figured out that most of the ones they slabbed, to me were not full steps. Then I had to re-thing the idea. They are counting the risers and not the steps as being full.

But I gave up looking for these a long time ago. Just not my interest. I prefer die varieties. These are a striking/handling issue. Same also on the full bell lines. But I do enjoy looking for full bands on the Mercury dimes. (They make sense) The Nickels and halves are too subjective.

jcoins - I don't see yours as having full steps. Please try to orient your pics correctly - it's difficult to evaluate them sideways.

Not Full Steps. I would just give up on finding Full Steps Nickels. It's too much of a pain anyways.
Errers and Varietys.
Rest in Peace

It's not too much of a pain if you find certain dates and mints in the 50's that have full steps .

With the "crush" mark above the N in Monticello, I would have to say no

I've seen worse in holders. Lately, there's an onslaught of MS nickels from the '60s in

boxes, but finding a single step is a win.
