I know it isn't as good as some of the different devices I've seen on this forum, but I downloaded "Digital Microscope View Enlarger Camera" from Google Play for my android phone. I think I'll probably be able to get it to work pretty good. I'm still tinkering with it, but here is my first picture. I think I took it at x5 magnification. It is a little more blurry than I would like. But for my first pic, I think it is pretty good.

You would be much better off buying one of those clip on magnifiers for your phone camera.

Thanks John, I'll definitely look into that. It just hit me this morning .... "I wonder if they have an app like that?" I think to get super-close I will need something that is better quality. But, I'm surprised by what it does do. For quick and dirty, it seems to do pretty good.

I'm not sure what it's doing that's special or proprietary to their app. It looks like it is just zooming-in on a standard resolution image, though I guess it could be doing some interpolation or fill-in using AI. There are AI-based sharpening programs out there which do that. Unfortunately, what they fill in is not "real" info, but a creation of the AI, so it tends to look a bit unnatural.

Nice ones Fuzzy. It will probably take a while to figure out how to get the clearest pics. How not to over-magnify ... things like that. Practice makes perfect.
