I am totally a newbie to coin collecting and to being a member of this site as well! And I am absolutely stumped regarding my coin! I have spent countless hours researching it and cannot seem to find ANY answers and it's driving me insane lol any knowledge or help would be so greatly appreciated! I have a 7 month old son and I'm a single mama, spending countless hours that I'm sure have rolled into months worth of research and not having any success or getting anywhere with it is extremely frustrating considering how difficult it is for me to ever be able to find any free time! Lol I have a 1978 Lincoln Penny that is silver colored, (like similar to how a dime or quarter would be) and it doesn't have a mint mark on it. I am hopefully going to be able to find out it's weight later today(#129310;) and I'm going to attempt to post some pictures of it on here as well in hopes someone will know something, anything! Lol
I really appreciate anyone that's taken the time to read this! Thank you!

To CCF! Probably just another plated coin. We see them here all of the time. It would be Post Strike Damage ( PSD). Although, we really need pictures.

If it is shiny it might be plated cent. These happen a lot:

Plated in gold. Note the plating is not as smooth looking as a proof coin.
