One of 6 notes that exist for a small town. Obverse wasn't greatly changed. Reverse stains removed. A tape repair was made better. I haven't seen many examples of professional restoration posted and thought the results were positive. Not overly aggressive work.

Very impressive. Can you share with us approximately how much work like this costs?

Work was completed by Poli Restoration--- saw "Nancy" referred to on another forum. Not sure what the lows/highs of the repairs for others might be. This one was over $300 to do. I will probably hold this one for a long time. You can submit pics to her and she will give you an estimate.

The reverse obviously has a better standup appearance after the restoration. Very nice!

I know you said the front of the not was "not greatly changed" but could you post before/after pics anyway so we can see for ourselves?

Thanks!

Great results.

I've used Nancy Poli on a scarce Tampa National, and would use her again unequivocally.

Does anyone here know what restoration involves? How would they get stains like that out? Is it similar to how very old paintings are cleaned?

I've spoke to and emailed Nancy about folds but have not discussed stains. Addressing folds involves a Humidity Chamber and weighted pressure.

If any needs contact information, please message me.

I try and keep my Web handbook upto date & recently noticed the Web overprint on back error note sold in Heritages January 2019 auction graded 63EPQ by PMG was originally sold raw in Heritages January 2007 auction as AU and notes light circulation with corner folds.

This is the same note pictured on page 120's plate note.

Since serial numbers don't lie, and no corner folds are visible, someone had to process this note.

I added this information to my copy, along with copies of my errors & other info not mentioned in the recent handbook & thought I would share some pics of what my copy looks like.
