I keep finding some very interesting Die Deterioration Doubling, they are hard to notice for average people and I think even for us collector's. They seem to happen on 2004 onwards, is the mint just reworking dies (reverse and using old ones?

Take a look at photos what do you think?

Die chip, with doubling just looks like the die is very close to the end of life.

There is quite a lot going on with that reverse. I don't know how you spotted die chips in hand!

I never pay to much attention but I guess if they can get some extra life from the dies they will.
