I've been researching double die errors and Machine Doubling.
None the less I have not been able to be confident in my evaluation.
I believe this is a DDO mint mark, date, and in God we trust.
My gratitude to those and their opinions.

to CCF. Pics are a bit rough, but I am not seeing a doubled die. A doubled mint mark would be a RPM,and RPM's stopped in 1990.Maybe DDD,die deterioration doubling?

Here is three more less than crisp photos.
From the reverse it appears to be a ridge as if it was offset. I will research DDD and RPM.
Cool coin though, yeah?

Variety Vista list very few doubled die dimes after 1972-S

But there are a lot of factors your not considering on your coin. Circulation wear, die wear and slight Machine Doubling. None make it a doubled die. Doubled dies are created by the hub process. All other factors I mentioned do not make a coin a doubled die. Die wear, circulation wear and Machine Doubling normal processes of striking coins.
