Another great find Jim! Yiu're slowly starting to remind me of tropicalbats, because of all the good stuff you're finding!

Thanks David and LOM! David, I don't think I'll ever have the top grade collection of tropicalbats nor the varieties he has but it's a goal to have that one day! I definitely look up to him.

Tough coin, shame about the condition, but nice pickup!

Thanks Grapes and Coinfrog! Coinfrog, that is actually glue on the reverse, I'll let it sit in some acetone and that'll come right off.

Coinfrog, who cares about the condition? I don't. It's one heck of a Doubled Die to find.

If you don't care, that's fine. Ask Jim if he would rather have it without the obverse corrosion. Lots of collectors care about condition.

Coinfrog, Jim probably would. What it is, is I guess I don't care too much about conditions, as I am not too picky. That's just me though. I get whatever I am able to get, wether it's in good condition or not.

After supper, I think I will try some more persuasion and if successful I'll post pics of the affected area!

Very nice pick up. Way to persevere after seeing that hook on the E.

Looks like corrosion on the Liberty area. so it may not come off. Perhaps at one time a piece of tape/sticker or something else preserved the reverse area that looks more natural in color. But a keeper coin.

Mr. Coop, I persuaded most of the corrosion off of the affected area and it looks really good, not perfect but a whole lot better. Definitely a keeper cent. Before After
