I think I have a quarter that I think is improperly annealed with the clad. Would someone please let me know because I'm watching them on ebay and just saying wow. Hear from you guys soon thank you all.

Fuman, yes interesting color on this quarter. Just to be clear, do you suspect that the clad layer is missing or that the planchet was not annealed properly? Perhaps you can start by giving us an accurate weight for this coin? Thx.

Probably just Environmental Damage as usual. We've seen so many of these turn out to be Environmental Damage 99.9% of the time, with 0.1% chance of it being the real deal. I suspect Post Strike Damage ( PSD), but we need the weight of your coin to confirm it.

I just weighed it and it came up 5.6 grams. The picture doesn't really show the couple of spots that look like clad on it and probably are, but it would be great to know what I found because I know it's going in my treasure chest.

I metal detect and I've never come across the coin like this. Trust me I've seen some raunchy coins come out of the ground or laying on top.

Weight is exactly on point, for a normal Quarter from that year. Just Environmental Damage from Post Strike Damage ( PSD) as I thought. Worth 25 cents. Not a keeper.

That 25c looks as if it has some wilder color, yet to come.
