2003 Illinois Quarter Missing Clad - Coin Community Forum

Just to be clear, do you suspect that the clad layer is missing or that the planchet was not annealed properly? Perhaps you can start by giving us an accurate weight for this coin? Thx. Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74533 Posts	Posted 06/01/2019 3:09 pm Probably just Environmental Damage as usual. We've seen so many of these turn out to be Environmental Damage 99.9% of the time, with 0.1% chance of it being the real deal. The picture doesn't really show the couple of spots that look like clad on it and probably are, but it would be great to know what I found because I know it's going in my treasure chest.
