Agree with 62, possibly 63. Seldom do you see such a contrast in toning. I wouldn't buy this raw.

I had a few ASE's from the early 1990's that sat out on a table in my house. I heat with a wood burning stove. After 10 years or so, the sides that were up were toned like the reverse of this Barber, the sides that were down looked like new.

May be artificially toned. There are several ways to do this, one of which is blowing cigar smoke on it. Similarly, it could tone over the years by being in a smokers home.

There is no shortage of Barber half dollars out there . find a better example . Reverse looks too cartoonish .
