I just found this coin roll hunting, looked at it and immediately jumped on here. This definitely could have seen better days, it weighs 3.1, please tell me if I really have one. Thank you once again.
That is a large date copper. If it were a small date copper from Denver, the value would be dramatically reduced in value. The damage turns a coin into a cull. But it just a damaged copper cent worth copper melt now.
So how can you tell a large date and a small date this year. Here is something you can copy and save for your educational purposes to see that it is just not the date area that is affected on these large and small date coins: Just right click on the images and you can save them for your use. Start a folder to education files. You keep from kicking yourself later for not doing that. Might as well start now.
