I found two of these in a roll of 2918 D coins today. There is a depressed crease from about 3 o'clock to about 5 o'clock inside the rim of both coins. I would think PMD except that the crease passes through the 8 and the D MM without any damage. I need help with these coins.

That's called Die Deterioration and Die Deterioration Doubling, caused by a worn die issue, from striking a ton of planchets at the U.S. Mint.
Errers and Varietys.

The field metal moves towards the rim creating a ridge ring. The wave crowds towards date. We've seen this before on many Zincolns. The single squeeze dies they use break down quicker as they age.

Books don't cover what you can learn here. They cover just the basics. What I share is what I see on the coin before me. So keep posting, it is not just the poster that benefits, but all who reads benefits.
