*** Edited by Staff to clarify topic title. Titles are important! ***

So I have a local convenience store I frequent and asked to look at their rolls of quarters. I found 2 with W enders. Plus, I got a W AMP from the drawer!

So fast forward a couple of days when I had a chance to open the rolls and HOLY CRAP!! One roll had 9 W AMP's and the other had 11!! I could not believe it! They all went strait into Airtite holders, I was so excited. Would have been a good time start a Youtube channel lol:)

I'm sure you are pleased with your finds.

However, I do not have a clue what your "W" or your "AMP" stand for.

Neither abbreviation is listed in our glossary.

Please enlighten us amateurs so we can share in your happiness.

fplagge,

The Op's (Original Poster's) title and post probably could have been more specific I suppose.

He's talking about the 2019 West Point Mint Quarters.

"AMP" is American Memorial Park Reverse.
"W" is West Point Mint Mark.

and just to get it out of the way, for some reason Lowell (the first design) is still Lowell, while the 3rd design War in the Pacific, looks like it might get abbreviated in chat rooms to either "WP" or "WitP" it's kind of an either/or at the moment and unsettled. I'm not a fan of "WP" though because it could be West Point, or an abbreviation for racists.

Anywho, there you go. Explained. but perhaps you were trolling or busting chops a bit also. hard to tell on the interwebs.

Thank you, Big-Kingdom, for the explanations, and no, I wasn't "busting chops."

I had been saving the "America the Beautiful" quarters as I found them from my friends who I used to play poker with, but two my friends passed away late last year and the poker game broke up. Since then I kind of lost track of the newer "America the Beautiful" quarters and was not aware of any of the 2019 releases. I never get change of my own because I use my credit card for almost all my purchases.
Also, I was unaware of the existence of the West Point mint. Is that something recently started?
Sorry about my rambling on. Thank you again.

Big-Kingdom: Never mind about my West Point mint question - I googled it.
