K well I found this at a car boot the other day, and it makes me feel like picture frame displaying coins. So I have been debating with myself the merits of "picture framing" certain sets of coins. Should be cheap enough to do, and I figure attaching some kind of cloth backing to the back frame would improve things too. Is this bad for coins though? I guess I want to keep them out of daylight, but, I'm not aware of anyh other problems. Is the room light an issue? Also...any tips? Decent ideas?:)

Above all, I'd be concerned with who'll see them.
Dont advertise something, unless you want it gone.

If the cloth you use can absorb humidity then you might have a problem with the REB sides corroding if they touch the cloth.

Good chance any coins you put in such a case will soon enough tarnish, rust, corrode, etc.

While a picture frame may look cool, it will be bad for pristine coins. If you wanted to do it I would suggest well worn coins like low VF or high F and those should be fine

Inert plastic is your best bet. There is a product called Cointains that completely surrounds the coin.
If you want the coins exposed, you could just use one half of a capsule. That would give protection to the back and edge.

Don't use any type of glue or adhesive, or any chemical for that matter. Pressed paper frames will almost certainly contain some sulfur which is terrible for coins.
