 ...to the Community! As a general rule, modern nickels found in circulation are worth 5 cents and don't carry much interest. To me, "modern" means anything from 1960 up to the present. Jefferson nickels dated before 1960 are worth 7 cents each minimum. Nickels dated 1938, 1939 and 1950 can carry a bigger premium from 20 cents to a few dollars. Silver war time nickels (part of 1942 through 1945) contain about 30% silver and are worth silver melt value by weight. Others may have a different opinion on values but that's what I've sold em for over the years. Hope that helps! (*edited to correct spelling errors)

Ok now been very nice cause I know catch more bees with honey one nickel is from1948-D kinda see double die in it. 1963-D and a 1968-no mintmissing letters on back I mean I have never done this before but also today found a 1982 bronze penny as well as a 1983

 As a general rule these appear to be worth face value going by the images. On rare occasion someone would be willing to pay a bit more and that confuses me. Still, rather than be discouraged might I suggest starting a collection? Not only are they relatively inexpensive in mint state grades these make for a great looking set.
