I have been searching to identify this coin for years. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? I think it could be Pegasus and a Standing Figure but it is crude. Also the beads on the border are interesting.
I believe it is bronze and somewhat thin flan- about 21mm & 2.9g.
Looks like a winged lion - that would suggest it is the Winged Lion of St Mark, especially with the halo. I can't say I recognise the type, but it is reminiscent of the composition of medieval venetian soldinos.
Whether it is a winged lion or Pegasus, it appears to be nimbate. Nimbate lions were found on some Reformation (and later) coins from Venice. I don't see a good match though in a quick look on numista. Sorry that I can't be more helpful.
