For better or worse, I have now been laid off for 4 weeks - and putting in 40 hours a week at the Shop

I do have to supplement my income with some after hours plaster/drywall jobs, it makes for some long days, but it is worth it !
I did finish looking at the
Mercury dimes a couple weeks ago and didn't really find alot. A few scarcer dates- 31-D, 26-S- but no 42/1's, 21's , or 16-D's...I hate when that happens

Pulled about 8 rolls of XF+ and about a roll of better teens and twenties. I think I found 6 Micro S 45's . Dimes are small...
About a week and a half ago when we were pretty busy, the door buzzes and an older gentleman and a younger guy enter. The younger guy has a kitchen garbage can sized bin full of stuff I can see as he sets it in the corner and goes out...and brings in another load of stuff...and leaves again for another load. He had quite alot of stuff ! I was busy so I could not see what was going on at first. Turns out these guys were in a hurry, and with the volume of stuff they had - it was going to take hours to sort. Nick asked me to run some stuff through the counter while he sorted the other stuff. I ran just over 600 dollars face in rolled silver halves , quarters, and dimes plus some that the guys were poking out of albums as I went.
Nick was trying to get at the albums first so he could pull any better dates before they got lost in the bunch, but the guy didn't really care. After about 3 hours , they were happy and left with almost $9,000 I think. Nick did manage to pull some of the key date Lincolns and Walkers before they got to the counter, and paid them accordingly, but the rolled coins were just dumped and counted.
A couple days later I started to look through the bags that those coins were put into- they lost out on a couple hundred dollars in those rolls. I had the fun of finding a 16-P, 38-D, and a 21-s Walker, a PDS set of 19's and a couple obv Mint Mark 17's- all coins I am not used to finding in those bags

Then came the quarters, pulled a 32-D and a 32-S from there. I didn't get pics of the Walkers, but I did take some of the 32-S. Both the D and S 32's were AG-G at best- but fun to find !

I did find a few B reverse quarters, no C's

and I think I found a 43-S "TrumpetTail" and a 41-S "Large S" too. I will post those in the Error Forum.
The dimes were nothing real special, a couple nicer early Merc's- but the real surprise was the Roosevelt's, not alot of them but I did manage to find a 1954
DDR , which is the first Interesting thing I have found searching
Roosevelt dimes...I guess I am gonna have to look closer at them from now on when I get the chance ! No respect I tell ya...
Another set of Washingtons came in shortly after that, minus the 32-D and S and some others, but these were really nice coins...Some of them were really, really nice ! I had the pleasure of releasing them from their 2x2 holders to be packaged for sale- so I got the pick of them if I wanted any...did I want any ? YOU BET. This 32-P is the nicest I have ever seen in my hands.

Pulled a couple nice B reverse Quarters too, I have lots of them of every year...but not all Uncirculated, I think the 56 is the only Unc I do not have now

Had enough ? Me neither...
A friend of the owner, a regular in the shop usually looks at the
Morgan dollars. When he was done looking at them this time he remarks that he noticed he did not have a 70-D half in his Kennedy collection. I guess he didn't know they were only in Mint Sets that year...So I went and got the 25 or so we had and he started looking for a nice one. After he was done with them , I took a look at them to make sure we didn't miss any small date Lincolns, they were all Large Dates- but two of them looked like this....

A real nice RPM if you ask me ! Both sets were then promptly snatched up...unfortunately I only got one...but I am on alert now ! I could not refuse when the shop owner said ..Greysheet bid for them- the Half is worth the 13.50

I buy them when I can find them with a nice half, but this gives me another reason to buy them !
I also looked at some wheats , all common dates with a few decent teens in there. I did get some "woodies" though. I like the look, and I hear they are pretty popular. The pics don't show it that well, but I think you can see the wood grain effect.

Found a few nicely toned Lincolns too...

Also, I grabbed a nicely toned
Morgan dollar, an 1885-O with a little rim toning.

I always say that I don't like to buy bullion, I like to buy coins- but then something cool or interesting finds its way to me... I like to do a little fishing now and again, and Walleye is sort of the official fish in these parts..and the new name to our hometown hockey team...Yea the "Toledo Walleyes" just dandy

that's a whole nuther story... anyway..these caught my eye...

This chunk 'o silver got me too, I am an Aries so it just seemed like I should have it. I will not be wearing it on a necklace as it is made, just for display thank you

It is about two inches high and weighs just over an ounce.

I will wrap this up...shortly..
When I was moving stock around in the back to make room for more stuff, I came across this album..and I remembered that Shatsi had asked for an
IHC album if I could get one for cheap. I guess these albums are sought after by some collectors, as they are pretty old. The copyright is stamped 1958 I think. Shatsi, if you would like to be the owner of this album, send me an email and I will get it to you. It is a "slide" type album, like a Dansco.

I am not sure this one was even used, it is in real nice shape- but I can tell it is a bit fragile in the binding. It is nice , but it will have to be taken care of well to last.
You made it to the end...I have a bunch of stuff to post in other forums , but for now I am going to enjoy the afternoon as I hope all of you will this fine Labor Day. Happy hunting everyone !
Kurt...more stones in about a month
