My second one of this variety. Here is my first post of the first coin http://goccf.com/t/342117&SearchTerms=1982Not listed on Variety Vista, Coppercoins.com, or CRDieVarieties.com. Only listed on Doubleddie.com. Tanman2001, I didn't ask you about this being a debunked DD. My researched come up with nothing on a reference debunking this. Do you have a ref? Thanks

I couldn't find any references to WDDO-003 or it being debunked. The only pictures of it online that I can find are the two you posted and the single black-and-white image on doubleddie.com I strongly believe this variety is just die abrasion doubling and I would not list it on my site, especially with the obvious abrasion doubling on the back of the bust. A while ago there was a strong 1971 " DDO" once listed as FS-101 and WDDO-005, it was later found that it was just die abrasion doubling like this. You can still see it here: http://www.doubleddie.com/144864.htmlWhat's also interesting is that the 1970 example of die abrasion doubling pictured right before the 1971 in that link looks a bit like 1982 WDDO-003, does it not?

@Tanman2001, That 1971 is very SHELFie looking compared to the 1982.
The 1982 letter "E" definitely looks like 1971 abrasion doubling.
Thanks for the reply/info.

This is from the correct die. The one thing that convinces me that it is a doubled die, it the top of the 'Y' on Liberty. Note how the right side of the 'Y' looks like a wing. I would like to see an example that is a lot fresher in die state. But it seems that they must be over looked in earlier die states?

I think I have this one figured out. I feel it is an over date DDO. Large over small date or Small date over large date hubs miss hubbed together on this die? It happened in 1960? That might expain this one better? Bummer, the date is way off. Full die overlays. Not a match. Everything but the date looks like WDDO-003.
